Marc S. Davis served as an Ohio Assistant Attorney General for Health and Human Services for two years. During that time he managed federal, state, and administrative litigation for the Department of Mental Health & Family Services, the Department of Health, the Department of Developmental Disabilities, and the Board of Nursing. He has served as a first-chair attorney for approximately sixty administrative hearings, and managed all appeals from those actions to the Ohio Court of Common Pleas, and the Tenth District Court of Appeals. My primary duty involved prosecuting administrative actions concerning the employment and licensing of independent and agency providers. During my tenure, I gained extensive administrative and policy experience in health matters related to Medicaid programs and waivers.
At Georgetown University Law Center, Marc took additional coursework in health care and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act while working on his Master of Laws in International Litigation and Arbitration. While working in the United States Senate, Marc attended numerous health care briefings on behalf of Senator Sherrod Brown. I am confident that my extensive experience in administrative actions, particularly with health agencies will be an asset to clients who seek to appeal the determinations of any administrative body.
